                                                   Welcome!
Even though our name says Skamania-Klickitat, our reach throughout the Mid-Columbia Gorge region is much broader. Since 1996 our work has focused on connecting our rural communities with resources and services in order to build community capacity, strengthen and support optimism and resilience in families, and reduce Adverse Childhood Experiences.
Our mission is simple: To build strong, healthy communities.
How are we working to do that?
We offer parenting classes and workshops, partner with the Gorge Early Learning Coalition to support early learning activities, link Oregon and Washington agencies and organizations with information on family based programs and trainings, support Community Enrichment for Klickitat and Skamania County's efforts, with the One Prevention Alliance in Stevenson, WA, maintain a lending library of parenting material, sponsor public monthly Interagency meetings, and publish this extensive website of community based resources for all families across the bi-state region.

Skamania Klickitat Community Network is a very small non-profit incorporated in the State of Washington. Our funding comes from a number of grant making organizations and foundations, and we are very grateful for their generosity. Washington Gorge Action Programs acts as our fiscal sponsor. The Network has an all-volunteer board of directors, and one part-time contracted coordinator. The board meets the first Wednesday of each month at 10:30 am in White Salmon at the Pioneer Center, just behind the White Salmon Post Office. These are open public meetings and all are welcome to attend. We welcome you to participate as a member, adding your voice and knowledge of your community's assets and needs to the Network board.
